BALI   (Indonesia)

A relatively small island, Bali is located between the islands of Java and Lombok. Lush nature, clear waters, and the richness of the culture make it unique among the 17,507 islands that create this extraordinary archipelago that is Indonesia. But there is one thing that has always left me speechless about Bali, and it is that there are more Hindu temples in Bali that islands throughout Indonesia .... pretty impressive hey!

- Balinese Kecak -

Also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant. The monkey-like Vanara helped Prince Rama fight the evil King Ravana. Kecak has roots in sanghyang, a trance-inducing exorcism dance.

- Volcano Sunrise -

Wake up at 2:30 in the morning ..... quick breakfast and go ... an hour and a half drive to get to the slopes of Mount Batur.

It's still pitch dark, flashlights in hand we begin the trekking that will take us, in a few hours, on top of the crater.

The sky is cloudy, I arrive at the top just in time to see the sun peeking through the clouds, in a few minutes the mist vanishes and the landscape that reveals is incredible. I am at 1717 meters above sea level, in front of me the Mount Agung,

which overlooks the lake formed in the caldera of the volcano.
